Fever.....

What the......

Oh GOSH! I touched my forehead this afternoon, and it was burning! I should really get some medicine and rest. (Not after I finished writing this post...) You know, last sunday I went to my home church, and they were celebrating 13th Anniversary, and OM Sabah was invited to share the sermon and I did a mime. I didn't know they were going to announce all the ministry and peoples they have supported during the years, and my name was written in the bulletin and on LCD. (What a horrible picture they put up there!! I looked practically like a gorilla! Huh.....)
So they called each of the representative to collect the letter of appreciation for service, my pastor said there were two missionaries in our midst, one of them is Felix Chai. (Oh my! Finally they label me as missionary! This is cool!!) So I got up there and get my letter, and post a "fake" smile at the camera with my teeth showing. (Eh.....:P) I have been waiting so long for them to finally recognize me in the field, few years...... but God is good and I thanked Him for that.
Oh! The fever is kicking in, my tummy start making noises and my head is starting to wobbly, GOSH...... I need a doctor! Help!!

Mime talk....

My recent performance at Brunei

Take a shot before going on stage

Smile-lah

Looking tired after performing three mime in a row

My recent trip to Brunei was pretty tiring. My boss drove for 8 hours from Kota Kinabalu, bypass 8 different immigration, sarawak and brunei border, two ferries rides......! (Huh....) And we didn't make it on time for the Youth meeting, so we just did a short talk for 15 minute with a video being shown.
On Sunday, my boss was invited to speak in three different congregation within two place Seria and Bandar, two hours in distance. So in the morning english and chinese service I did two mimes, then we drove for two hours to catch the three o'clock service, arrive just right before the service start. (Goodness me!!) I quickly arrange the setup and went to the WC for make-up, it was really a record breaking.
By the time we finish, it was about 5pm, my face was feeling crack and looks really horrible. We drove back to my boss's friend house and I went straight to bed, can't take another mime anymore. (Huh......)

Me, myself & mimer

Took a snapshot before my performance

I'm gonna eat you alive.... ha ha ha

I love mime, it helps me to express my thought and connect with the audiences. The silence of sound with movements created to speak, that fascinated me how human communicate with each other, in a new tones, new forms.

Moments of life, blessing, joy......

I love mime, choreography and teaching. Especially when they are performing on the stage, it always gives me joy and delights to see the "choreography" came alive!

The training usually took about a month before the real performance; I would sweat, take it slow, brain-storming, changing the movement and style repeatedly, perfected every movement before the day finally arrive!

On the performance day, my heart was pounding, so as the mimers. The make-up, gloves, music, body stretching.... I was trying to relax the mimers. It's exciting... but at the same time it's pressure as well. Then the MC announced our team's name... it is time now, do your best mimers! Showtime! ...It's time when a teacher know he needed to step back and let them shine....

I stood far behind the back, watching all the action performing live on stage, my heart would shout, "Oh! You did it wrong again!..." "That's great!" "It's perfect!"......and then I heard the handclappings sounded in the air, it is the moments of life, blessing, joy......I wouldn't trade for anything in that moments......
