Lunch Terror!

Every friday morning there is a gathering for Golden Age group, and usual lunch is provided for everyone and someone invited me to join their lunch in the room. When I step into the room, I saw there were a few big round plate with some skin thingy on top of it with dark brownish color, I was wondering what's that? And I spoon it on my plate and take a bite, it was interesting taste and texture to it, and I asked the one whom invited me what was it. She told me that it was Pig head's skin cooked in Soya Sauce! WHAT!? I just ate a pig head's skin and it is now swimming in my stomach! (Yiiii........) You know sometime in mission field you need to just eat something you never seen in your life, and it's an awful feeling try to swallow it down your throat! (I learn not to asked what was I eating when I was on the field. Oh! I should remind myself everytime I have my friday lunch!)

5 easy steps to make Japanese Sushi

1. Cook 2 cups of rice as you would normally do with the rice cooker.
2.When the rice is cooked, pour in 2 spoonful of vineger/lemon juices (if you like a bit more sour, pour in extra spoonful), 2 spoonful of sugar & 1 spoonful of salt. (The measurement is 2 vineger : 2 sugar : 1 salt) Stir it evenly and leave the rice to cool down completely.
3.prepare your stuffings such as tuna with mayonaise, stir fry eggs, cucumbers, raw fish, mushroom, pretty much anything you like! (or anything you find in your kitchen.)
4.Prepare the seaweed (or called Nori in japan) in measurement of slightly bigger than A4 paper size. (customize as you like!)
5.Place the seaweed in the bamboo mat, put the rice (make sure it's cool down completely) 1/4 of the seaweed, place your stuffing the center of your rice, roll the bamboo mat tightly and make sure the stuffing doesn't come out. Slice the sushi roll into 4 to 5 pieces with sharp knife (sprinkle some water on knife for easy cutting) and there you are Home made Sushi in five easy steps! Try it today!
(don't forget to place a small plate for Soya Sauce dipping and some wasabi)

BBQ on Stove Top

I love Monday! It was my off day and I can go out for fresh air! So I went shopping in the town to catch the breaths! (Huh......) On my way to the shopping mall, I passed by the two dollar shop which offered lots of cheap stuff from China; cookware, pottery, stationary, make-up, toys, artificial flowers, bags, electronics, lamps, tables, exercise equipment, clocks and etc. (It is a paradise for people like me who survive under tight budget!) So, I walked into the shop to browse through every section. As I come to the cookware section, I found this amazing BBQ pan on stove top, I thought it was a joke! But the picture on the box shown you can cooked meat, green pepper, onions on the pan, I didn't know such things actually exist! (Wow, I love BBQ and I can make them on my stove top, what a great news!) So, without hesitation I brought the BBQ pan and get a packet of sausages to try on this new things I got. I heat up the pan on my stove top, brush some oils on it, place the sausage gently on top the pan, and the things really did BBQ my sausages. Man, it really taste like the real roasted sausages on charcoal! Next time I would have Korean BBQ at my own kitchen, another recipes to add in my menu...hooray!
